[Bug 130518] klauncher broken in Kubuntu Gutsy Tribe 3

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

After updating my Kubuntu Gutsy Tribe this morning and then restarting,
klauncher gives me an Error Message:

"Prozess Aufruf des Ein-/Ausgabemoduls nicht möglich.
klauncher meldet: Unbekanntes Protokoll "".
kann nicht gestartet werden."

Witch could translate to:

"Calling the thread of the I/O-module was not possible.
klauncher reports: unknown protocoll "" couldn't be started."

This lead to some unforseen behavior within my install. No external
hard-drives are mounting anymore. The module "Disk & Filesystems" in my
Syscontrol tells me it's missing. CDs & DVDs can't be viewed anymore.

Please note that I try to update my system daily so this error must be
either from a package updated within the last 2 days or from kubuntu-
restricted-extras, witch i just installed yesterday. Please note that
apt hasn't told me any errors.
