I'm using an Ubuntu 7.04 clean installation. My computer is a Dell
laptop (Core 2 Duo 7400, 2 GB RAM). Amarok version 1.4.5

I have the same problem and CPU usage when starting up remains 100% for
atleast 5 minutes. Though I am able to play songs, it takes awhile to
startup and freezes whenever populating a playlist or when skipping to
the next song.
