Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase

version: konsole 3.5.5-0ubuntu3

The screen shots attached are with anti-aliasing turned off and with it
turned on. In both cases the font in DejaVu Sans Mono size 7. It appears
that the subpixel hinting is causing the font color to be messed up,
however turning off sub-pixel hinting and/or turning on the exclude
range from 6.0-8.0 doesn't solve the problem after relaunching konsole.
The only way to solve the problem is to turn of anti-aliasing entirely.

** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
