Changing status to confirmed based on comments on IRC in #kubuntu-devel

18:05 < fdoving> Sime: open the konq in file manager mode, press F9 to get the sidebar choose root directory (red folder)
18:06 < fdoving> even with hidden files shown you will only have /home and /media in the directory tree.
