Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kde-guidance-powermanager
Using an HP Pavilion ZD7000 series notebook (p4 3.2ghz, 1.5gb RAM) with
Kubuntu Edgy and the binary Nvidia drivers.
I select "suspend" or "hibernate" from Power Manager for when the lid is
closed. This causes the laptop to power down successfully when the lid
is closed. However, when powering back up the saved state appears to
begin loading but the screen eventually goes black with no further hard
drive activity. Full duplex power cycle is necessary to restore system.
The last time either of these functions worked for me was under Breezy.
** Affects: kde-guidance (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
