I testet the situation several times now and was not able to reproduce
that point exactly. :-( Sorry.

The option was always greyed out and not reachable.

I now think that there might have been a minor crash in any component in
KDE that allowed this bigger crash.

I will try to give you better bugreports next time... Thank you for your
work!
