Hi. I'm a new Kubuntu user. I've just come across this as well, using a
fresh Kubuntu Edgy install.

After asking on the KDE mailing list, I was pointed to bug no. 135513 in
KDE, which is basically this issue and has already been fixed.

Please change the status  of this bug to confirmed and notify the
packagers to look for the solution in:
