[Bug 45650] View Mode button unavailable (really!)

Public bug reported:

To make clear, what I am talking about, they are the buttons right of
the zoom buttons in this official KDE Konqueror screenshot:

Mostly the first one (ActionList:viewmode or sth. like this it is called
I think) but the others are also not available.

I tried to find it, searched for a week or so, also asked on the IRC,
and tried also the "back to KDE defaults" tip in the kubuntu.org FAQs,
but nothing helped.

With that, and my year-long experiences in KDE, I am sure this is a bug,
but for the near release a relatively big one.

On Gnome, in Nautilus, the view mode button is one of the essential part
of the file manager, so I would be really wondering if this bug is
really not already known?

Please take this bug not as a "it cannot be" - that was the answer I
gave to myself and also the people on the IRC, but after we all tried,
its seems so..
