No.  I see the blue vertical lines in all KDE/QT apps.  I know for sure
KDVI and Samba4K both have it, and the menus in the Kicker.  I don't
remember any KDE/QT apps not having the blue lines.

My driver is "neomagic," which is at least the correct manufacturer.
The identifier is "NeoMagic Corporation NM2380 [MagicMedia 256XL+]."

I'm pretty sure it's an X driver issue too.  The only match I could find
after hours of Googling (and I didn't save the result) was a similar bug
mention on the Debian list from a year or two ago.  That bug went
unexplained, but was fixed in a subsequent release of the Xfree86
drivers.

I did notice there was an upgrade to the Xorg drivers a few weeks ago,
but I haven't tested it yet.
