[Bug 45456] [Dapper|amarok 1.4] amaroK xine engine fails to play tracks.

Binary package hint: amarok-xine

xine engine in amaroK (from universe) glosses over tracks, failing to
play them, until reaching the end of the playlist. The amaroK stdout
output shows no sign of error. I am using the "autodetect" output sink,
and have tried with "alsa". Neither work. I cannot use the gstreamer0.10
engine, as support for that has been dropped. This is also the case in
1.4 from the kubuntu.org amarok-latest dapper repo.
