[Bug 45349] Can't select event on same date after deleting event

Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce: while in the month view in Kontact, delete an event on a date that has more than one event (method I used if it matters: select event with single click, press delete button on keyboard and confirm dialog with space bar). Then select another event on the same date with a single click.  The details box will continue to say "No Item Selected", and the delete key cannot be used to delete the event.
Workaround: Click on another date (either an event or white-space), then click on the event again and it is selected.
I have previously filed this as bug 124231 in the KDE bug tracking system.
