[Bug 43803] Users & Groups admin mode not displaying password dialog

Description:
Binary package hint: kde-systemsettings

I go to System Settings, then click on Users & Groups.  When I hit
Administrator Mode, the screen goes grey with the appropriate red border
but no password dialog appears.

Another user on my system can use the admin mode with no problem. I belong to the following groups:
ejfiii adm disk dialout cdrom floppy audio dip video plugdev lpadmin scanner admin media

While the other user belongs to:
kate adm dialout cdrom floppy audio dip video media

kdesu is running but apprantly something goes wrong along the way:
