Public bug reported:

Affects: k3b (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Binary package hint: k3b

To Whom It May Concern

Problem: CAN NOT WRITE MULTI-SESSIONS

K3B is broken again. It has already destroyed more than
10 CDs :(. I have very view clue, and I am aware that this
is not an ubuntu specific problem.

- Some wrote that it is related to Linux Kernel 2.6.
- Some wrote that it is related to cdwrite
- Some wrote that it is related to cdrdao

Nevertheless, K3b worked at the beginning of the hoary
release. Then it went broken when the breezy was
released. Then, it worked again during the most of
Dapper's testing releases. Alas, it does not work
anymore near the Dapper release.

Here is my quick fix solution:
- I have got an extra Kubuntu Hoary partition just for
  burning CDs.
  HINT(1): Do not update it!
HINT(2): (since hoary do not have cdrdau), I use
         "cdrdao_1.1.9-3_i386.deb" from the debian archive.

Sure, you can always go back to Nero if you wish....
