[Bug 43228] Adept refuses to update

Description:
It seems that if the only available updates are "held back" and require
a dist-upgrade, adept says "No updates available.  Goodbye."  You close
adept (nothing else to do) and the systray icon still complains that
there are available updates - with the correct number of available
updates.
