I can supply that there is no hibernate option in the harddisk install either. Gnome has TWO types of hibernate options (sleep/hibernate) which could both be very usefull on kubuntu too. -- Kubuntu Flight 5: No hibernate feature https://launchpad.net/bugs/36553
