I’ve got a solution - or rather I want to close this bug because the solution is in installation manual (appendix B.2.1. Loading the preseed file) for some time: One can add pressed/file="url" to the kernel initialization string or file named preseed.cfg in the root directory of the initrd. 

i386 – tested 100%
I added the following to my /tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg/default:
label kubuntu
	kernel ubuntu-installer/i386/linux
append preseed/file=http:/myserver/cdrom/preseed/kubuntu.seed vga=no…

Please consider adding this to http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/breezy/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/pxelinux.cfg/default and of course to /install/netboot/ubuntu-installer/i386/pxelinux.cfg/default on Kubuntu CDROM. 
The file kubuntu.seed should be added in archive.ubuntu.com to, and should be referenced in above files instead of “myserver/cdrom”.

Tonight I’ll try similar procedure with ma iMac and make the same changes to the yaboot.conf. I’ll post results tomorrow.

I don’t have 64bit processors so can’t test it
