For me, konsole transparency and defaults work as expected.  Remember
that unless you set as default, a new tab will not use the same schema,
it will use the default.

Yakuake needs some work.  Transparency works, but I have a slideshow for
my desktop background and yakuake's background doesn't get updated.  The
tab bar is transparent by default and thus always shows a little piece
of whatever background comes up when I log in.
