This is a bug with .deskopt of the associated application.  If you
change %U to %f in the launch options, it fixes most, if not all,
problems.

The problem now is that if you replace %U with %f everywhere, that means
the stated #2 problem will happen more since KDE will copy files to a
temporary directory.

The solution would probably be to use X-KDE-Protocols more in .desktop
files.

This is a bit beyond me now.  I'd like to know what people more involved
with KDE packages think of that.
