Yes, is still present in KDE 3.5.3
I can confirm this behaviour. I have KDE 3.5.3 and the system up to date and whenever I press the "see desktop" button, and if you press again the button to hide desktop or open an app, kwin crash with exactly the same report.

A workaround for me by the moment is to not use this button... it
appears related only to it.
