I'm sure this happens to a lot more people, who did not realized that
the problem is kopete, because the desktop crashes without any apparent
reason, until you have the bright idea to kill kopete

What about using the new stable release: kopete 0,12. Maybe it gets rid
of this weird problem. I hope there are packages for dapper soon
