[Bug 47944] Cannot change target gamma setting.

Binary package hint: kde-systemsettings

This issue has appeared sometime in the past couple of days, so it's
regarding the latest version of KDE and KDE System Settings.  Choosing a
"Target gamma" (e.g. "1.8" instead of "2.0 [default]") in both user mode
and administrator mode will not persist nor will it even change the
actual setting.  No matter what choice is used, it will revert back to
2.0.
