Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/32439

Affects: kaffeine (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
This is probably related to bug #32436, which I just reported.

I am using a clean install of Kubuntu Dapper Flight 4, with all packages
upgraded with apt-get dist-upgrade. When browsing Samba shares with
Konqueror, I can only play .ogg files with Kaffeine. All other media
files (.mp3, .mpg or .wav) crash Kaffeine immediately. When I copy the
files to my home directory, Kaffeine doesn't crash and .mpg files even
work.

Even worse is that if I try to preview the files, the whole Konqueror
crashes.

The behaviour should be the same whether playing media files from Samba
share or local directory. If this is not possible, an informative error
message should be given and the program should not crash. If trying to
preview an unsupported media file, Konqueror should not crash but give
an error message.

The only information given after the crash is that it crashed with
signal 11 (SIGSEGV). This applies to both Kaffeine and Konqueror
crashes.
