[Bug 32092] KDE End current session hangs the machine

Description:
After clean install of Kubuntu Dapper Flight 4 on HP Compaq nw8240 I cannot log-out (Log Out-> End Current Session) anymore. When I perform this function, I first get blank screen, following by greenish overcast on the screen. 
At that point, machine is not responding to anything (switch to text console, Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, Ctrl-Alt-Del...) - the only thing I can do is hard reset. :-(

I do not recall having such problems with Flight 3 (which was regularly
updated, therefore almost Flight 4 before reinstall), but I do not use
this function that often (I do not recall using it recently before
reinstall)
