[Bug 31949] Updating corrupts Ubuntu

Sorry, not sure as to which package it was in particular that caused the
error, I think the first time it was a lib package. I think both times
it also did a kernel image along the the update. Both times the prblems
occured (i have had successful updates) my hub was hammering away, and
the collision light got a good work out too. I would have thought that
that kind of error would have been fixed at the hardware or firmware
side of things, but given the fact i had to reinstall the operating
system, its obviously not, which is why, I think at least, that a more
thorough error checking should be included in the next version of
Ubuntu.
