[Bug 57592] disabling power saving messes up resolution

Public bug reported:

It seems that disabling power saving from "System settings" in Kubuntu
6.06 messes up the resolution settings in xorg.conf.

When changing the power saving settings, a new xorg.conf is generated
and with this I only get the lowest screen resolution. Reverting back to
the old xorg.conf fixes the problem, but the power saving is of course
enabled again.
