I have the same laptop as the originator of this bug, slightly different
model due to uprated CPU (Acer Aspire 1524Wlmi).

I have been experiencing the same problems due to overheating.  I have
fixed any compile errors and warnings in the DSDT, but still have no
throttling support and the following CPU info is reported:

acpi id:                 0
bus mastering control:   no
power management:        no
throttling control:      no
limit interface:         no

powernow-k8 is loaded and I've tried stopping powernowd and changing the
polling frequency, but didn't seem to help.
