Yes, I get output. I just tried now and here it is:

christmas at floydian:~$ kdesu adept

And after this it does nothing. It won't start. Sometimes it does,
sometimes it doesn't. The same with the updater and I also noticed that
sometimes even after I enter my password the updater fails to start.
