[Bug 41199] Dapper AMD64: VBR mp3 seek length too long

Public bug reported:

Affects: amarok (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
This is on amaroK 1.4-beta3 amd64.

When seeking through a varible bit-rate mp3, the lengths are too long.
Basically, I will have a 4 minute song and can seek it to 20 minutes.
This does not occur on songs encoded in constant bit-rate. Also, the
time is not off by the same amount for every song, nor is it always off
by the same amount when selecting the same song again (with a few songs
in between).

All the song lengths are reported correctly in the playlist browser and
things work fine if I don't seek. It'll play until the correct end of
the song before switching to the next one. If I seek to a place that is
beyond the end of the song, amaroK will just switch to the next one.
I've never had seek lengths too short.

I did not notice this issue with VBR Windows Media 9 files. Also, my
roommate has this issue with his Dapper i386 version of amaroK
1.4-beta3.
