Public bug reported:

Affects: kde-systemsettings (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I tried to manage the services running on my PC using the "System
services" task within KDE systemsettings. Independent from whether I
start this service as root or as user and switch to administrator mode,
the result is the same:

Within the dialog, I'm able to switch of "start service at boot time",
but the next time it starts the service is marked as "being started at
boot time" again (and it is also started at boot time).

When starting from a shell, I got the following output (I did several
tries):

Could not remove symlink /etc/rc2.d/S50hplip :: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/rc2.dS19hplip'
Service hplip is still used in runlevel 3, not removing K-Links.
Service hplip is still used in runlevel 4, not removing K-Links.
Service hplip is still used in runlevel 5, not removing K-Links.
Could not remove symlink /etc/rc2.d/S50nvidia-kernel :: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/rc2.dS20nvidia-kernel'
Service nvidia-kernel is still used in runlevel 3, not removing K-Links.
Service nvidia-kernel is still used in runlevel 4, not removing K-Links.
Service nvidia-kernel is still used in runlevel 5, not removing K-Links.
Could not remove symlink /etc/rc2.d/S50rsync :: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/rc2.dS20rsync'
Service rsync is still used in runlevel 3, not removing K-Links.
Service rsync is still used in runlevel 4, not removing K-Links.
Service rsync is still used in runlevel 5, not removing K-Links.

The first part of the error message is irritating as "S50hplip" does not
exist. Nevertheless the last part of the message (/etc/rc2.dS19hplip)
looks like a "/" is missing in the path specifier for the link names
(/etc/rc2.d/S19hplip exists).
