[Bug 38817] "View details"-pane starts off with too narrow window

Description:
When I install packages using adept on Dapper and click on the "View
Details"-button when the installation is already in progress, the output
before that point of time is truncated and/or wrapped to the size of a
few columns only. Output which occurs after that has normal width. The
first output - barely readable - is that apt complains about a window
size that is too small. Isn't it possible to set the output control to a
normal width even when it is not visible?
