I'm not sure what you mean by a "test document." I'm sorry, I'm new to this.  
All I did, was load Kubuntu, log in, open OOo2.0 writer. Then I clicked repeatedly on the  
"STD" bar".  
  
Here is the console output:  
david at davidmollitor:/$ ooffice2 -writer  
I18N: X Window System doesn't support locale "en_US.UTF-8"  
I18N: Operating system doesn't support locale "en_US"  
I18N: X Window System doesn't support locale "C"  
Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0x3547)!  
  
The first three warnings were on load.  The fourth line was when I clicked and it crashed.
