Summary: Kubuntu installer in expert mode fails on timezone
                    configuration
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: UNKNOWN
        AssignedTo: debzilla at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: ubuntubugs-01 at oliverklee.de

This may be related to bug 15063.

Installing from the Kubuntu Breezy installation CD fails if I do it in expert
mode ("expert" as well as "server-expert"): At the timezone configuration, after
confirming that I really live near Berlin/Germany, the installer just sits there
with a blue screeen for a few minutes and then returns to the list of
installation steps. Skipping the timezone configuration (stepping over to Users
config) doesn't work, either.

This has happened to me on two different machines.

I haven't tested if this happens with the Ubuntu installation CD as well.

The CD itself shouldn't be broken - I had checked the ISO image's MD5 sum as
well as compared the burned CD with the ISO image after writing.
