Summary: kubuntu cursor theme doesn't work as default X cursor
                    theme
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: kubuntu-default-settings
        AssignedTo: debzilla at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: ralph_ubuntu at gmx.de
         QAContact: kubuntu-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

After installing kubuntu 5.10 RC the default kubuntu cursor theme is not used by
X. For example, in KDM you are stuck with the default black X cursor theme. Only
after starting KDE the kubuntu theme is used, though there are some problems with
apps that for some reason don't use the current KDE but the default X theme.

update-alternatives --display x-cursor-theme shows
that /usr/share/icons/kubuntu/index.theme is used, but of course it somehow isn't.

The only solution I found so far was to install gnome-themes and change the
default X cursor to Human.
