Root account, ubuntu guidelines ...

Would be nice that (k)ubuntu developers spent time to make an even better dist
(with ROOT account !!!) 
(reboot->must be superuser  e.g., what do I do?? :jump on pcbutton and start
another dist!) and NOT to 
rewrite and make "better" the good kdeapps (kcontrol e.g). 
 
Will be Ubuntu a marketing thinked dist?? why hide for example grub menu by
default? (breezy) 
why are some config files unwritable by default?? (not some weeks to spend to
fix that) 
 
Hoping some day a really usable kubuntu...
