I just duplicated this on a fairly clean and updated hoary.

juser at cpEpro1:~$ grep ^deb /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://192.168.1.7/ubuntu-hoary hoary main restricted
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hoary main restricted universe
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hoary-security main
deb-src http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hoary-security main

juser at cpEpro1:~$ sudo apt-get install hplip

juser at cpEpro1:~$ DISPLAY=:0.0 strace /usr/lib/hplip/toolbox
...
rt_sigaction(SIGINT, {SIG_DFL}, {0x80e8880, [], 0}, 8) = 0
...

(Is this enought to mark this confirmed/new?)
