I jsut updated to the breezy version of kdebase ( kdebase 3.4.0-0ubuntu19 ) dbus
and hal. 
now media:/ does not show any mounted hard drives and unmounted cdrom drives.

1. I place a cdrom in the cdrom drive. I wait a bit and then it appears under
media:/ but it shows as unmounted.
2. I right click and "mount" but nothing happens. It will not mount. It still
appears as unmounted.
3. but under /media/cdrom is does show the contents of the cdrom drive
