Ubuntu (kubuntu) | acpid

Summary: after resuming from suspend, laptop shuts down
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Keywords: kubuntu
          Severity: major
          Priority: P3
         Component: acpid
        AssignedTo: debzilla at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: dudefaceguy at hotmail.com
         QAContact: kubuntu-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

Hardware:
Gateway 450ROG laptop

Description:
1) I suspend the laptop by clicking "suspend" from the laptop tray icon.
2) I press the power button to resume my session.
3) The computer resumes, then immediately begins to go down for system halt.

I suppose that what is happening is that the computer registers the button action both as a resume and as a shutdown
signal. When I suspend by closing the lid, the problem does not occur.
