[Bug 8474] New: avatar not being displayed

No matter what I try, my MSN avatar doesn't get displayed. It appears fine in the preview but that's it. I've 
tried reconnecting and restarting and it makes no difference. 
 
Also when I click "Select Image" and choose my avatar (which closes the file selection dialog), the button 
remains in the "pressed" state.
