You don't specify what your error is, but if it is:

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.1 (20021021)) (headers and
libraries) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.

then you probably just need to tell configure where the headers are:

./configure --with-qt-includes=/usr/include/qt3                                
     

./configure --help will give you other options that you may need/want to set....
