dan chen suggested that i submit this...the kubuntu iso image does not provide
the (gnome) admin tools that ubuntu + kubuntu-desktop provides.  somewhat
confusing for people new to the distro, and a bit misleading as the kubuntu faq
says that "Our Kubuntu CDs are made up of Ubuntu's base plus KDE. You can get
exactly the same effect by installing Ubuntu and adding the KDE packages from
the Ubuntu archives."  kubuntu iso =/= ubuntu iso + kubuntu-desktop metapackage.
 still, a great release, keep up the good work everyone :)
