If you are asking me to see if the bug re-appears if I try writing at 48X on the
same type of CD-R to see if it fails again, I can do that.  I will probably make
another CD coaster!  Does the size of the data being written matter?  I think
the problem arises after about 100 MB have been written.

Also, I can try writing a music CD instead of a data CD.  Does that matter?

What precise conditions do you need me to log, apart from:

1. type and make of CD-R; 
2. the writing speed;
3. my CD writer make and model; and
4. the K3b log?
