# ls -ld /dev/sg*
crw-rw----  1 root root  21, 0 Dec 15  2005 /dev/sg0
crw-rw----  1 root cdrom 21, 1 Dec 15  2005 /dev/sg1

Cannot burn CDs out of the box.  Must first manually change group to cdrom.
