(Filing under amd64 as I'm using it, but the bug exists probably on all arch's.)    
Non-usascii characters on menus, toolbars and pop-up windows are "squared". These include    
iso-8859-1 chars that are also in Turkish (ç,ö,ü) as well as characters specific to Turkish.  
Characters in the documents are OK. Problem is with chars used in OO.o user interface.
