Hello Ubuntu Kernel Team,

I'm reaching out to request assistance with triaging a kernel bug I reported over a week ago, which has not yet received any substantive response.

Bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2169515

The issue causes complete system crashes during fstrim operations on Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS.

So far, I've observed the following:
- Multiple affected systems: Two independent servers (zephir and sigma) with different hardware configurations exhibit the same failure.
- Multiple affected kernels: The issue has occurred with kernel versions 7.0.0-31 and 7.0.0-34.
- Consistent failure signature: The kernel panics involve an IRQ stack overflow, with approximately 67 nested __dm_io_complete frames.
- Reproducibility: In addition to crashes during scheduled fstrim operations, I've successfully reproduced the failure manually.
- Diagnostics: I've attached detailed kernel logs, stack traces, and relevant storage configuration information to the Launchpad report.

Given that this issue causes complete system crashes on multiple machines, I'm concerned about its impact on system reliability.

I would appreciate it if someone from the Kernel Team could review the report, assess its severity, and advise whether additional diagnostics or testing would help identify the root cause.

I'm happy to assist with further investigation, including testing proposed patches or alternative kernels.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
Dan Podeanu
