I attempted to follow the directions for an existing upstream change:

I would like to request a cherry pick of my upstream commit.

I first encountered this bug while using Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS.  The change 
was accepted into the upstream v6.6, v6.5.9, and v6.1.60 releases.  I am 
not sure if the commit will automatically be included in the Ubuntu 6.2 
or 6.5 releases.
