Hi Kernel Team,
Sorry I am not sure if this is the proper list to ask this question. I
inherited old supermicro server that has been running Ubuntu 16.04
fine but login password is forgotten, so I decided to install fresh
Ubuntu 22.04, but right after the installation and first reboot,
kernel panics, then I tried re-install Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 20.04,
same kernel panic, I am not sure if I did installation wrong or if the
server has hardware problem (I do need to unplug half of the memory
from the motherboard, otherwise the memory test would fail to pass
after power on the machine, not sure if related here) , any clue would
be appreciated, attached picture and youtube link
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIBhi652VX8 at 7 seconds, kernel panic
Thanks!
