It's absolutely fine to have them in 6.2 only.

Like mentioned here:

there two additional pre-requisite commits, that became just upstream
accepted with 6.2(-rc1).
Hence the reason why these patches here do not apply to 6.1, but no need
(and not worth the effort) to bring this into 6.1.
