Minor nitpicks below:

`(ported from commit abcd` tags should be `(backported from commit abcd` instead.

Similarly:

`(picked from commit` tags should be `(cherry picked from commit` instead. 
That's what git-cherry-pick generates by default whenever we use `-x`.
