The commit above is needed to fix the following critical bug:

LP#1965723 - audit: improve audit queue handling when "audit=1" on cmdline

so I have cherry-picked it and applied to impish:linux master-next branch,
with an additional BugLink to this bug report. This fix is already applied
also via upstream stable to Bionic and Focal.
