Clean cherry-pick, no upstream commit refers to fixing it, affects only a
single driver, Microsoft claims it was tested.

However, I don't see justification enough to apply it in cycle 2022.11.14.
Doing so would add risk on a cycle that is going to end very close to the
holidays.
